Creating with Filters Unlimited

In this lesson, we are going to use the plug-in Filters Unlimited 2.0 to create a
background and frame to compliment your tube. Finally, we will create vertical
text and animate it.

Materials Needed:

A tube and accents
I.C. Net Software - Filters Unlimited 2.0 (Full Version with Sandflower)
Imagination

Remember to save your work often

Let's begin . . . We will make our tag first.

1. Open a new Raster image 450 x 450 - Name: Sky

2. Flood Fill with white
3. Effects / Plugins / Filters Unlimited / Color Filters / Blue Sky
with these settings:

4. New Raster Layer - Name: Grass

5. Selection Tool - select from 300 down to 450 - like this:

6. Flood Fill with a green that will complement your tube. I used #76a54d.

7. Effects / Plugins / Filters Unlimited / Paper Textures / Recycling Paper
with these settings:

8. Select none

9. New Raster Layer - Name: Frame

10. Flood Fill with white

11. Effects / Plugins / Filters Unlimited / Frames, Textured / Textured Frame 15

12. I used the regular settings. You need to find one of these Textured Frames
at a setting that will complement your tube. Just experiment and find
something awesome!

13. Magic Wand - Use these settings:

Select the white center of your frame - Delete / Select none

14. Open your tube / Copy / Paste as a New Layer / Name: Tube

15. Resize / place your tube appropriately. Leave room for your vertical text.

16. Adjust / Sharpness / Sharpen

17. Effects / 3D Effects / Inner Bevel using these settings:

18. Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow 2/2/50/5 - Color Black

19. Now is the time to add your accents on new Raster Layers.
Remember to add Inner Bevels and Drop Shadows.

20. New Raster Layer - attach your Watermark

Now I have this:

21. Save your work, then - Layers / Merge / Merge Visible
Now we will add our text.

22. It's best to use dark colors. Activate your Text Tool and apply a wide text.
I used the font: Accent.ttf

These are my settings:

You will need to adjust your settings for your font.

23. Convert to Raster Layer - Rename: Text

24. Use your Raster Deform Tool to widen and place it.

25. Effects / 3D Effects / Inner Bevel using these settings:

26. Selections / Select All
Selections / Float
Selections / Defloat

27. Selections / Modify / Contract 2

29. Layers / Duplicate - Twice, so that you have 3 layers of text

30. Highlight the top layer

31. Effects / Plugins / Filters Unlimited / Sandflower Specials / Sparkle001

On the top layer use the regular settings. Close the layer Visibility Toggle.

32. On the 2nd layer repeat the plug-in except increase the Random Seed to 180.
Close the layer Visibility Toggle.

33. On the 3rd layer repeat the plug-in except increase the Random Seed to 255.

34. Select none

35. On all three Text layers - Effects /3D Effects /Drop Shadow 2/2/50/5 -Color Black
We are now ready to take our tag to Animation Shop.

36. Make sure Layers 1 and 2 are closed off and your 4th layer is highlighted,
then - Layers / Merge / Merge Visible.

37. Copy in PSP and Paste as a new animation in Animation Shop.

38. In PSP, Undo Merge Visible. Close off Layers 1 and 3, then
Layers / Merge / Merge Visible.

39. Copy in PSP and Paste after your 1st layer in Animation Shop.

38. In PSP, Undo Merge Visible. Close off Layers 2and 3, then
Layers / Merge / Merge Visible.

39. Copy in PSP and Paste after your 2nd layer in Animation Shop.

40. In Animation Shop, save your new tag.
