This Tutorial was made with PSP X.
Supplies
4 tubes that compliment each other
Plug in DC Special
Be sure to copy tubes (Shift D) and close out originals and sharpen as needed, then minimize them.
Pick a dark and light color from your
tubes that will compliment your tag.
1. Open New Image 500 x 500
(I enjoy using a large work area)
2. Using your Selection Tool/Custom
with the following settings
T:0 L:0 R:250 B:250
3. Add new layer(name tube 1)
Maximize 1 tube, edit, copy then back up to main image and
edit. paste into selection.
4. Highlight bottom layer, then using mouse, right click(hold down)
move marching ants box to the right.
5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 till all 4 tubes are in place.
Then selcections/Select none
Layers/Merge/Merge Visable
Let's add a Drop Shadow
Effects/3d Effects/Drop Shadow/
5,5,45,8 (black)
Repeat H and V -5, -5
6. New Layer the Arrange send to bottom. Flood Fill with Light color.
Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Blinds/
W(50), O(100), Color White/
Check light from left/top.
7. Let's add some borders
3 pixels in your dark,
3 pixels in your light,
3 pixels in your dark.
Then, Selections/Select all
Selections/Modify/Contract/9
Selections/Invert. The go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner bevel(2)/
Select None
8. Image/Add border/20(light color) using magic wand select
border. Then go to color pallette/patterns/pattern of image/ settings Angle 45/ Scale 32
then flood fill border with pattern.
9. Go to Effects/plug-ins/DC Special/Purssian Rug/ default
(x 255, y 255)
Selections/Select none
Repeat Step 7
10. Now let's promote this background layer into
a Raster layer, then
Add New Layer/Arrange/Send to bottom
Flood FIll with light color
11. Close out top layer, hightlight your bottom layer and add text.
I added Welcome to the Group) once you have added your text then go to
layers/merge merge down. then close out this layer
12. Highlight top layer and add your watermark. Then again got to Layers/Merge/Merge Down.
13. Now this is where the fun begins. We are heading into AS
With Top layer still highlighted and bottom layer still closed
Edit Copy then open A/S and paste as new animation. Go back to PSP close out
top layer highlight and open up bottom layer. Edit and COpy then
go to A/S and paste after current frame.
14. Now make sure the first frame is highligted, then go to
Effects/Insert Image Transition
With the following settings
go to customize using the settings
check top left
curl radius 255
then press ok, then ok again.
Now go to View Animation and see what you have. I think we will need to change our settings abit.
15. Let's change our frame properties.
Edit/Select All, The go to Animation/Frame Properties using the settings 30- 40
Then go to last frame on image and highlight go back to
Animation/FrameProperties and change this to 200.
Now you can play with your settings to your liking. These were just mine.
16. Let's resize and Save.
