Cowboy's Rule Tut My final ![]() Open new image 400x400 choose fore/background colors from tube make gradient with these settings ![]() I then added texture with these settings ![]() I set this aside and opened a new image 250x250 flood fill with gradient, copy and past tube into new image. I added a border 5 with dark color add border 1 with black add border 5 with dark color. Select all. Modify contract by 12 invert and gave inner bevel with these settings ![]() I then copied and pasted my new tube image into the image I had set aside earlier. I selected all modified contract by 35 and inner beveled with the same as above. Added a border 5 in dark color 1 in black 5 in dark and 1 in black. Selected all modified contract by 12 and yep you guessed it...inner beveled same as above. Used plugin Greg's Pool Shadow with the following settings ![]() I then opened another new image 300x100 and chose a font I liked I typed Cowboy's Rule !! and then I copied it and pasted it as a new image and exported it as a custom brush. I then added a new layer and used the brush on my image. I did the brush 2x's for darker effect. I then gave it a drop shadow. V = 1 H = -1 Opacity 80 and Blur 2.50 color black. Added new layer for text. added my name gave it same drop shadow as above and I rotated it. Moved it with the deform tool to the left corner of the inner picture. Added new layer for watermark Merged All this visible Duplicated my merged layer 4 times for a total of 5 layers I then used Filters Unlimited 2 Sandflower Special Design Blinds with the following settings on 1st layer with all other layers closed off ![]() I then closed first layer and opened 2nd and only changed the Opening setting this time to 3. I continued to do this for remaining layers only changing the opening number in incriments of 3. Last layer the opening number was 12. Added a new layer got my preset shapes tool set to round rectangle with the following settings ![]() I then began to make the frame of the mini blinds. To do this I started at the top of the blinds and drew out a rectangle the width of my image. I adjusted it with deform tool and inner beveled it with same bevel as before. I then drew a small box on the left just under the bar I made I inner beveled it and duplicated this layer and mirrored my image to make it look like mounts. inner beveled again. I then drew a thin rectangle on the left mount straigt down and inner beveled to appear as the twirly thingy to open and close my blinds with. Then I used the same tool to make the strings/pulley dealy doo on the other side. I adjusted with deform tool and innerbeveled. I changed my preset tool to Triange to make the little decoration at the bottom of the strings and used these settings ![]() I had to flip my image and move with deform tool to the end of the strings. Inner beveled again. Now I was ready to put it all together and take it to AS. So I merged the strings and the top and the twirly thingy which left me with my 5 layers and the top mounting for my blinds I closed off everything but my top mounting (merged) layer and layer one and copy merged and pasted into AS as new animation. I went back closed off layer one opened 2 and copy merged with top layer again and then pasted in AS after current frame. I repeated this process until all my layers were in AS. I then went to edit select all and changed the frame properties to 75. I then clicked on the last frame only and changed the frame property to 150, I viewed my animation. I was happy with the way it looked so I saved it. You may need to resize. Tracy Tutorial written for Le Café D'Amis |
