Supplies: select your tube (mine is ©Disney/PIXAR) a mask some plugins: GREGS FACTORY OUTPUT VOL 2 / POOL SHADOW SIMPLE / BLINTZ ALIEN SKIN XENOFEX / PUZZLE We are going to do this: ![]() Open a new image 500x500 Pick 2 colors for your foreground and bg, one darker than the other. Mine are blue. Select foreground to gradient ANGLE 0, REPEATS 0, UNCHECKED INVERT, STYLE LINEAR. Flood fill your new image with your gradient. Go to ADJUST / ADD NOISE -- gaussian to 20% and monochrome checked. Go to EFFECTS / TEXTURES EFFECTS / TEXTURES with these settings ![]() Lower the opacity to 70% Add your tube, add proper shadow... I used -2, 2, 50, 4 We are going to add your text: Add a new layer and then go to your "selection" tool, select your "rounded rectangle", mode "add/shift", feather 5 and then go to your image a make a nice rectangle wherever you think fits perfect. I did this: ![]() Flood fill your selected area with your light color. Go to EFFECTS / TEXTURES EFFECTS / BLINDS and select as color, your dark color. How to choose exactly your dark color? on your color box, right click and another window will pop. You'll see on the bottom, 2 colors, select the darker one, like this:
![]() SELECTIONS / SELECT NONE or Ctrl + D Then we are going to add some small buttons to this area. Select again your foreground and bg color like you did before (you had them on gradient) and your top layer. Then go to your "preset shapes" tool and select the "ellipse" ![]() With these settings: ![]() You are going to make 1 tiny bullet on your blinds you just made like this: ![]() Then we are going to do inner bevel to this bullet with these settings: ![]() This way you will have automaticlly the bullet layer (that was a vector layer), changed into a raster layer (in this case, raster 4). Select this layer and duplicate it 3 times. Move each one to each corner of your rectangle with blinds area. ![]() Close off layer 1-2-3 and leave opened layer 4 and it's copies. ![]() Merge visible. Add shadow to this merged layer you just made with these settings: 1, 1, 100, 1 Open back layers 1-2-3 Select as your bg color NONE and your foreground color, your dark one. Add a new layer. Type your name or another text you want to add ![]() Click OK and center it. Add inner bevel and shadow as before but this time, the shadow goes -1, 1, 50, 2. IMAGE / ADD BORDERS -- 2 px dark color IMAGE / ADD BORDERS -- 1 px light color IMAGE / ADD BORDERS -- 2 px dark color SELECTIONS / SELECT ALL SELECTIONS / MODIFY / CONTRACT -- by 5 EFFECTS / 3D EFFECTS / CUTOUT -- 2, 2, 100, 10 and repeat this but with -2 in both SELECTIONS / SELECT NONE Merge all Flatten IMAGE / ADD BORDERS -- 30 px light color With your "magic wand" tool, make sure the feather in at 0 and select this new border. Add a new layer, fill it with your dark color. LAYERS / NEW MASK LAYER / FROM IMAGE with these settings: source luminance selected and inverted data selected. Right click on that layer and select "delete", click YES. Merge group. Select that "group layer". Go to SELECTIONS / SELECT ALL again, SELECTIONS / FLOAT ADJUST / ADD NOISE -- same settings as before. Add a shadow -- same settings as before. Add inner bevel -- same settings as before. SELECTIONS / SELECT NONE Merge flatten. Add a new layer. Go to your "brush" tool and either select a nice brush or create one. You can create it with another tube or do a text. I'll do a text and place it in my left lower area. ![]() Add a shadow as before but this time -1, 1, 40, 3. Merge all. IMAGE / ADD BORDERS -- 2 px dark color IMAGE / ADD BORDERS -- 1 px light color IMAGE / ADD BORDERS -- 2 px dark color IMAGE / ADD BORDERS -- 40 px light color With your "magic wand" tool select this new border and fill it with your dark color. Go to EFFECT / PLUGINS / GREGS FACTORY OUTPUT VOL 2 / POOL SHADOW with these settings: 50, 50, 50, 50, 50, 50, 50, 50, 128, 128 ADJUST / ADD NOISE -- but this time, gaussian 40% Then go to ADJUST / BLUR / MOTION BLUR -- angle 30, strenght 25% Go to EFFECT / PLUGINS / SIMPLE / BLINTZ Inner bevel, same settings. Now your tag looks more or less like this: ![]() IMAGE / ADD BORDERS -- 2 px dark color IMAGE / ADD BORDERS -- 1 px light color IMAGE / ADD BORDERS -- 2 px dark color Resize your image to 65% because after all the frames, your tag is now very large. ADJUST / SHARPNESS / SHARP Add new layer and add your watermark. You are almost done. Duplicate your image 8 times, so you have 9 copies. Close off the first 8 layers and select the last one. Go to EFFECTS / PLUGINS / ALIEN SKIN XENOFEX / PUZZLE and you are going to do select each piece of the puzzle randomly to do the effect you want. First make sure your effects are like these: ![]() Each layer, you close off the previous one and open the next one. Make sure you have the same settings but this time on step 3, select another piece of your puzzle. To view again all your image, click on RESTORE ALL PIECES, do the settings, and then click INVERT Be sure you select each layer next time and close off the previous one. Do this until you are done with all 9 pieces of your tag BE EXTRA CAREFUL HERE: Once you are done, each time, select the white area in each layer with your magic wand and click DELETE so you will be able to see the layer under it. ![]() ![]() ![]() Do this with all your layers, except for the bottom one. Rememeber to diselect each time. Then we go to Animation Shop... Open it and copy the botom layer and paste it into AS. Then open the next one, but this time, you click "copy merge". Paste as next frame into AS. And so on until you have finished with all the pieces of your puzzle. Change the speed of your frames to 50 and set the last one on 150 (ANIMATION / FRAME PROPERTIES) Then save it as GIF and now!!!! you are done. Click here to show me off your results!
